Effecting Change From the Inside - OUT!
Taking Your Relationships, Your Career, Your Finances, Your LIFE to a Whole New Level!
Smile For the Camera! - Your Subconscious is Recording! Throughout your entire life, your subconscious has been recording EVERY millisecond of EVERY moment of your life. Not only has it kept track of everything that has ever taken place in your life, it has recorded every reaction you have ever had to everything that has taken place in your life!
Why is that important?
Because your reactions to past events are the filters through which your now react to current events. For example:
You're 12 and you're out riding your bike. You've been riding a bike since you were 3 and have always loved the feeling of freedom it's given you.
On this particular day, you're riding your bike, you're feeling fabulous and you're biking across the street to head towards a friend's house. Because you're mind is on what you and your friend are going to do today, you don't notice the dip in the road near the street corner. As you take the turn, you hit this dip and your bike flies up into the air, and slams back down onto the street. Your bike falls over, with you on it, as you skid to a stop under a parked car.
It's all happened so fast that you truly believe you've just been hit by a car. And your reaction is: PANIC (among a whole lot of other negative emotions) -- and panic on so many levels. You see blood on the road, you feel the horror of being under a car and thinking it was moving and hit you and now could drag you further along down the road. Your adrenaline is flying through your body -- you can barely breathe, you think you might die.
In a matter of seconds, although it felt much longer than that, you scramble out from under the car, you understand what's just happened (and not happened) to you. You begin to breathe and calm down and realize your situation is not as dire as you thought it was. Just a few cuts and bruises -- no big deal. You walk your mangled bike to your friend's house and you go on with your 12 year old day.
A Snapshot In Time But your brain has stored the memory of not just the first bicycle accident you ever had, but the first extremely traumatic bike accident you've ever had. And it's stored the panic, shock and trauma you felt and all of the negatively emotionally charged thoughts that rapid fired through your mind in just a few seconds.
Fast forward a week and you get a new bike. You put on your helmet, straddle the bike and . . . your hands get all sweaty, your stomach gets all tingly, your breath becomes shallow. All you can think about is your accident -- the accident your energy system has stored as practically a near death experience. You feel silly about being so scared to ride your bike again -- you've been doing it for the last nine years without much incident. But you decide to put it away and walk to your friend's house.
Fast forward 20 years. You've got kids of your own and they want you to go bike riding with them. Not only do you realize you haven't ridden a bike for the last 20 years, just the thought of getting on a bike makes your hands get all sweaty, your stomach gets a tingly, your breath becomes shallow.
As an adult, you clearly understand what a 'non-event' that bike accident was -- but your subconscious and your energy system remember it a little differently. Try as hard as you might to 'get over it', 'be an adult', 'grow up and let it go', you can't -- because your energy system won't let you. It just keeps playing that same old tired tape of it's memory of that day 20 years ago. 'Don't get on that bike', it warns. 'No good can come of it. You practically died because of a bike. Here, let me send you some sensations to remind you. . . sweaty hands, tingly stomach, shallow breathing. . . do you remember now? STAY AWAY FROM THE BIKE.'
Limiting Beliefs - Roadblocks to Success Ta Da. A limiting belief was created. In this example, the limiting belief created was: Riding a bike will somehow hurt me.
Although, in this story the cause (the accident) and the effect (being afraid to ever ride a bike again) was made very obvious for illustrative purposes, a similar cause and effect connection can manifest itself in as many different ways as there are people on the planet.
Chances are you're 'afraid to get on the bike'.
Somewhere in your life experiences, your subconscious has stored your reactions to similar situations in your energy system that actually thwart your every attempt to change certain aspects of your life. Yes, you are in cahoots with yourself to keep you from succeeding.
Crazy, I know!
If you seem to always be one step forward two steps back when it comes to your finances for example, chances are good that somewhere on your 'tapes' there are negatively emotionally charged memories or recollections of traumatic events associated with money. Somehow the association could have been made that having money creates trouble, or people who have money are bad, or if you have money the people you care about won't love you anymore.
Whatever your particular associations (usually a bunch of different associations are involved) - your subconscious will create situations so you don't have money (yes, you are a co-creator of your life, your reality -- but that's another conversation!). Your subconscious will even send you distress reminders via your energy system (physical and emotional) so you don't do something crazy -- like have money! And, because your subconscious associates bad things with money, it feels like its doing you a huge favor by keeping it away from you.
It creates limiting beliefs that you happily reinforce every waking (and probably non-waking) moment of your life:
Oh, joy.
But you are not doomed!
You can set yourself free by clearing the limiting beliefs that have you on whatever non-productive treadmill you find yourself on.
A Conflict Between the Conscious and Subconscious Minds If you see yourself, or something similar, in the above examples -- you are definitely NOT alone!
If your conscious and subconscious minds have two different agendas, your subconscious mind will win out every time -- it's always in the driver's seat.
Through various techniques, I uncover the underlying conflict between these two minds and resolve the issue(s) so they are both on the same page, working towards the same goal.
It's amazing how much faster you can reach your goals when all of you is going in the same direction! It's time to Get Out of Your Own Way! and achieve the success you desire!
