Chakras

Throughout your body we have main energy centers, which are connected to major organs or glands that govern other body parts.

Each of these main energy centers are referred to as chakra, which is a Sanskrit word meaning 'wheel'. A chakra is a wheel-like spinning vortex that whirls in a circular motion forming a vacuum in the center that draws in anything it encounters on its particular vibratory level.

Your body contains many chakras -- they are the key to the operation of your being.

These “spinning wheels” draw in vibratory information from our surroundings.  Vibratory information can be anything from color vibrations to radio or micro wave vibrations to the magnetic pulse of the earth to another person’s aura to vibratory healing.

In essence, chakras interpret the energetic environment, including the people we are in contact with (that’s why other people’s moods have an affect on us!).

Chakras also radiate outward energetic vibrations -- which keeps everything in balance.  Taking energy in -- radiating energy out.

It's very important for chakras to be spinning in the correct direction, be the appropriate size and shape and be free of any blockages so that the chakras are 100% free and capable to perform this energetic give and take.

There are seven main chakra centers.

Seven Main Chakra Centers

  1. Crown
  2. Brow
  3. Throat
  4. Heart
  5. Solar Plexus
  6. Spleen
  7. Root

Every organ, gland and body system is connected to a chakra.  For example, the heart chakra governs the thymus gland and is also in charge of the functioning of the heart organ, lungs, bronchia system, lymph glands, secondary circulatory system, immune system as well as the arms and hands.

The seven main chakra centers are aligned along the spinal column. If there are disturbances on any level, this shows in the chakra’s vitality.

When one chakra center, or even a part of a chakra center. is out of sync, it may eventually effect its associated glands or organs and possibly even impact its neighboring chakra. When we say a chakra center(s) is out of balance, it generally means that it is over-active or under-active, congested or blocked, spinning in the wrong direction or both sides (front and back) are not the appropriate size.

If your chakra(s) is out of balance, it is will be felt on a mental, emotional or physical level.

Take care of your chakras and they'll take care of you!
